I am writing to inform you that the New North Road and Symonds Street upgrade project is now open for public engagement and we would like your feedback.
We want to connect communities, improve transport options, improve safety and develop thriving town centres on the route from Symonds Street along New North Road to Avondale and Rosebank Road.

As Auckland’s population increases and more people join the road network, we must find ways to make it safer and easier for people to move around the region.
Auckland Transport knows we need to get the most out of our transport network and we believe our communities have important knowledge that we can use to help improve our regions transport. We want you to help shape our city moving forward.
We’re seeking public feedback on sections of the proposed design from today until Friday 8th April 2022, to help us ensure the best outcome for the corridor. We invite you to visit the AT project webpage and the project’s Virtual Engagement Room to view the project information and give feedback.
