We do hope that everyone is safe and well. We recognise that many families have been impacted in some way due to the events brought about by COVID19 and are looking forward to supporting you at this next stage of transition.
With the recent statement that we will be moving to Alert Level 2, the Government and the Ministry of Education have announced that it’s safe for all students and staff to return to school.
We ask for your patience as staff at Newton Central School work hard to prepare the school physically and plan for the safe re-opening of our school, beginning on Monday 18th May, 2020. Staff have begun to physically return to school over the Thursday 14 May and Friday 15 May period, to set up their classrooms, collaborate with one another to strengthen cleaning and physical distancing procedures.
